Willie James Butler

Willie J. Butler, a beloved husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend departed this life on April 3, 2026. Willie J. Butler was born on November 6, 1957 to Louise Butler and the late McKenzie Butler. Willie Butler confessed a hope in Christ at a young age at Morning View Baptist Church in McCrory, Arkansas. Willie was united in holy matrimony to Josephine (Janie) Ivory on November 5, 1984. 

Willie was preceded in death by his father, McKenzie Butler; his brother, Marvin Butler. 

Willie thoroughly enjoyed watching wrestling and western movies and series. He had a wonderful singing voice and loved joking around. Willie had great love for his wife, family and friends. 

Willie leaves behind his beloved wife, Josephine (Janie) Butler, who will forever cherish his memories and everlasting love. His dear mother, Louise Butler-Scott of Inwood, NY to cherish his memories and love. Forever memories cherished by his two brothers, Robert (Crystal) Butler of Queens, NY; and Eddie (Rosa) Cross of Inwood, NY; one sister, Brindy (Reginald) Charles of Jackson, TN; two Sister-in Laws, Sue Ellen (Danny) Brown, of Searcy, AR; Linda (Lazaro) English, of Marianna, AR; four brother-in laws, W.L. (Lisa) Dicus, of McCrory, AR; Donnie (Zenobra) Dicus, of McCrory, AR; Tommy (Rena) Dicus, of Augusta, GA; and Larry Dicus, of South Dakota. An aunt, Ethal (Chester) Green of Augusta AR; An uncle, Elbert Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends, who will cherish his memories always.
