Virgie H. Badon

Virgie H. Badon, 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in her residence. She was born in Prattsville, AK, lived in Little Rock and moved to Elton, Louisiana 5 years ago. She was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church of Little Rock. During the war, she worked at the Defense Plant. She also worked for Ark LA Gas and Southern Bell as a telephone operator. Survivors include her sister, Floy Johnson of Elton, LA; nephews, John, James, and Cursey Marcantel; nieces, Katherine Fogleman, Miriam Thompson, Jackie Hernandez and Tammy Cline. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Myrtis Benning; husband, Clarence Badon and a sister, Emma Marcantel. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville, Arkansas.
