Vickie Owen, born on January 9, 1958, in Rison, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on November 5 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a beloved member of her community and a cherished family member whose legacy will be remembered by all who knew her. Vickie was preceded in death by her mother, Opal Hudson Lunsford; her brother, Douglas W. Lunsford; and her niece, Leslie Jeanine Taylor. Vickie spent many years working at Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel. Beyond her professional life, Vickie had a profound love for music and spent countless hours playing the piano, sharing her passion with family and friends. A dedicated member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Vickie found strength and inspiration in her faith, engaging actively in church activities and contributing positively to her congregation. She was deeply family-oriented and loved spending time with her loved ones. 

Vickie is survived by her husband, James Owen; her daughter, Renee Bolden; and her son, Joseph M. Tucker and his wife Miranda. She was also a proud grandmother to Dylan C. Morris and his wife Kennedy. Vickie is remembered by her father, Troy Lunsford; her sisters, Melinda Taylor and her husband Doyle, and Opal Ann Cooper. Additionally, she leaves behind her beloved dog, Gizmo, and a host of cherished nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held on November 9, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Buie & Cole Funeral Home in Rison, Arkansas. The funeral service will be Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Buie & Cole Funeral Home in Rison. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
