Velma her role as a mother to her children, Anita Corwin (Robert), Dean Chatman, and Don Chatman. She found endless delight in being a grandmother to Tiffany Dempsey (Russ), Chasity Chatman, Robert Graham, and Nick Graham, whose lives she touched deeply with affection and wisdom. Velma also embraced her role as a stepmother to Christina Softly (Carl), Dennis Usery (Amy), and Stacy Usery, expanding her family and her heart.
A faithful Christian, Velma's spirituality was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her relationships and instilling a sense of peace and community among those who knew her. Her passions included dancing and spending time with her beloved dogs, which brought her immense happiness. She took pleasure in watching demolition derbies, relishing the excitement of these events.
Velma is now reunited with her beloved first husband, Willie Chatman, her second husband, Frank Usery, and her cherished grandparents, John and Rebecca Teague, whose memories will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
