Russ McCurry, age 40 of Rison, died, Tuesday, April 19, 2011. He was born April 4, 1971 in Pine Bluff, a son of Mary Russ McCurry and the late Charles Douglas McCurry. Russ was a 1989 graduate of Rison High School. He was set to graduate from SEARK College on May 13, 2011 with a degree in Business Management. Russ was a member of Rison Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Mary McCurry; brother, Douglas McCurry; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Murry Freeman; nephew and niece, Walt and Molly Freeman, all of Rison.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2011 at Rison Baptist Church with Brother Wade Totty and Brother Gary Lambright officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison. (870) 325-6216.
