Roxanne Barnes Shores (Jones)

Roxanne Barnes Shores, was born on January 28th 1975, she passed away peacefully on August 1st 2026. She loved her family and friends with all that she had. If you knew her you’d know she loved to laugh and tell jokes, and always enjoyed a good prank. She enjoyed working at Texas Roadhouse and many of her coworkers became like family to her. She was an animal lover; you could always find her catching a turtle or frog, and she often rescued animals who were in need. On her days off she loved to watch movies and snuggle with her dog Gigi. She is survived by her children, Jamie Hutcherson, Ashley Childers and her husband Chris, Weston Sherwood and his wife Makayla, Shyanne Edwards and her husband Houston, and Thomas Jones and his wife Faith. Her mother, Hattie Wilson, her sister Kim Merriman and her husband Russell, and her sister Viola Wilson. She left behind four granddaughters and three grandsons whom she loved dearly, as well as a niece and two nephews, along with many other family members and so many friends who will miss her forever. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Edgar and Ruby Wallingsford, her father Harold Wallingsford, her son Perry Lee Wallingsford, and her Husband Chris Shores. Though she is no longer with us, her love and memory will remain in the hearts of those who loved her. May her loved ones find comfort in knowing that she is now resting with her Lord in heaven.
