Ronald Graham Holder, born on September 29, 1962, in Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away on March 31, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was of the Freewill Baptist Faith.

Ron was a lover of bowling, he was always insistent that everyone was present before the game began, showing his deep care for those around him. His joyful spirit came alive when singing Karaoke, and his enthusiasm extended to buying, selling, and trading. Ron's musical tastes were wide-ranging, with a particular fondness for Rock and Roll, as well as his favorite gospel song, "Eye of the Storm," which resonated deeply with his faith and resilience.

He was a beloved husband to Carolyn Holder, who stood by his side through countless memories and shared a life built on love. Ron’s family circle included his brother, Dwayne Holder; half-sister, Shikra; sister, Sherry Crum; and brother-in-law, Troy (Julia) Thornburg, as well as Chad Thornburg and sister-in-law Aletha Thornburg. His legacy was further enriched by his children: Zachary (Krista) Holder, Cassie Bales, Victoria Schmitt, Thumper Bentley, Alessa Holder, Curtis Holder, and Cookie Holder. Ron found great joy in his grandchildren, including Marek Holder, Paisley Holder, Breaonna Collins, Waden Collins, Melody Collins, Danny Landers, Mathew Landers, Kenny Schmitt, Matt Hudson, and Nathan Hudson.

Ron also held a special place in the hearts of his adopted family, the Faulkes family, and cherished relationships with his nephews Logan Meyers, Shawn Duorak along with his wife Jackie, great nieces Isabella Alexis, Amaya, Abrie, and great nephews Theago and Marcellus. His very special aunts, Delorse Thornburg of Davenport, Iowa, and Linda Sindt of Blue Grass, Iowa, along with his uncle Obbey Sindt who held a very special place in his heart, and his very special cousin Verna Gregwer. Ron’s life was also enriched by the loyalty and camaraderie of his longtime friends, including close companions in Pentwater, Michigan—Linda, Tony, Sue, Sharon, Richard, Jim, Rhonda, Rusty, and Melody—as well as special friends in Greeneville, Tennessee, including Sammy Garber and Charlie Brown.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ronald and Diana Holder; Chet and Maxine Thornburg; and his grandparents Mort and Betty Griffis, and Katherine Pierce. He also lost his adopted family member, Ronny Joe Foulkes, and his beloved best friend, Jeff Freese, whose memories he cherished deeply. He had many friends in both Greenville, Tennessee and Pentwater Missouri and he loved every one of them very much.

Ron loved his family to the moon and back.

Ronald will have a memorial service posted soon at Centerpoint Freewill Baptist Church.
