Kensett, Ar

Rickie Alynn Long, passed away in his home with his wife at his bedside, after a battle with cancer. Rickie was born in Hobart, IN, on July 2, 1973, to Rick (Michelle) Long, Dyersburg, TN, and Brenda (Tim) Lawson, Halls, TN. Rickie is survived by both parents, his wife of 28 years, Susan Annette Long, Kensett, AR, two step children, Lindsey Underwood, Halls, TN, and David Payne, Ripley, TN, and one son (grandson), Brenden K Stewart Underwood, Halls, TN. He is also survived by one sister, Jennifer Vaughn, Gates, TN, and one brother, Michael Long, Hornbeak, TN, twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three nieces, and many friends. Rickie was the vice president of Prestige Drywall, with great dedication to his company, coworkers, and the construction industry. He was an attentive father (grandfather) who never missed a moment of Brenden’s upbringing. He was an avid fisherman who spent many days on the lake doing what he loved. Rickie could be found often on his land in Heber Springs, AR, on his side by side enjoying the great outdoors. His family is left with a large loss from his passing. To know and be loved by him was a blessing. His wings were ready, but our hearts were not.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send donations for Brenden Stewart's lineman schooling to 102 S.E 2nd St Kensett, AR. 72082.
