Paul Jeffrey Johnson

It is with joy and great certainty we share that Paul Jeffrey Johnson left this world on April 21, 2026 to be with his Savior. He was born on October 21,1949 to Esther Benedict Johnson and Jack M. Johnson. He was a devoted husband and father with amazing artistic talents in music, art, and photography. He was a creative soul who amplified a washboard and also a kitchen sink as musical instruments to play in a band, earning an award as a percussionist in a bluegrass festival. Paul taught himself to do many things from music to art, and home repair. He had an accomplished career in news photography with many colorful stories to tell about the people he met and the places he went to cover stories and news events. His life was marked by much determination, love, and humor. He was easy to talk with and knew how to entertain a room. He gave many customer service representatives, waitresses, and store clerks a good laugh on long or difficult days. Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years Paula, his son Travis Johnson and wife Nikki, from Whitehall Michigan, his son Jack Johnson, and seven grandchildren, Javin, Liam, Gabby, Carmen, Levy, Alexander (Xander), and Ayla Josephine. He is also survived by his older brother Robert Johnson and his wife Jaclyn from Pensacola Florida.
