Olan "PawPaw" Andrew Roberts

Olan "PawPaw" Andrew Roberts, age 91, of Rison, Arkansas, peacefully departed this life to be with his Lord on February 25 2026 Born on October 10, 1934, in Cleveland County to the late Alexander Roberts and Irene Brown Roberts, Olan lived a life marked by love, family, and devotion to those around him.

Olan was a cherished husband to his late wife, Virginia Peggy Roberts, and a beloved father. He was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Coats, his son Drew Roberts, and his step-sons Virgil Matheson, Ernie Matheson, Jr., and Charlie Craig. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, who were an essential part of his journey through life.

In his later years, Olan found joy in simple pleasures such as giving rides on his tractor, mowing, and embracing the beauty of the outdoors alongside his family and friends. He was known for his gentle spirit and warm heart, which endeared him to many.

Olan is survived by his daughter Linda Henderson and her husband Eddie. He also leaves behind a caring circle of step-children: Danny Craig and his wife Dawana, Sharon Lee and her husband Roger, Glenda Hicks and her husband Chuck, Lewis Matheson, Patrick Matheson and his wife Barbara, and Paulette Craig. In addition to his immediate family, Olan is survived by a host of cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his spirit of love and joy.

A graveside service to honor PawPaw's life and memory will take place on February 28, 2026, at Mt. Zion Cemetery located on Dunkeffie Road in Rison, Arkansas. The service will begin at 2:00 PM, with a ceremonial conclusion at 3:00 PM.

Pallbearers who will carry Olan to his final resting place include Dalton Matheson, Chuck Hicks, Noah Matheson, Luke Matheson, Joe Hickerson, and Patrick Matheson. The family invites all who knew and loved Olan to remember him fondly as they gather in his honor.
