Ola Varnell

Ola G. Varnell age 95 of Pine Bluff, died, Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at her home. She was born May 4, 1914 in Rison, a daughter of the late Joseph Seymore Green and Mahaley Isabell Wood Green. Mrs. Varnell retired from Ben Pearsons after many years of service and a homemaker. She was a member of First Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the womens auxiliary. Mrs. Varnell was also preceded in death by her husband, Clovis James Varnell Sr.; two sons, Clovis James (C. J.) Varnell Jr., James Booker Varnell; one great grandchild, A. J. Jones; one brother; six sisters.

Mrs. Varnell is survived by her daughters-in-law, Gladys Varnell of Tyler, Texas, Katherine Varnell of Pine Bluff; five grandchildren and their spouses, Debi and Dean Adams, Michael J. and Mary Beth Varnell, Robbie and Maisie Varnell, Tina Louise Varnell, Tanya R. and Robin Jones; nine great grandchildren, Walker Adams, Jessica Varnell, Justin Matthews, Daniel Lippke, Tyler Akines, Casey Lippke, Caitlin Millwood, Jayme Varnell and Will Aaron..

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 30, 2010 at Buie Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Arrangements by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
