Michael Dan Peterson, 44, of Lonoke, passed away June 26, 2025. Michael was born October 19, 1980, in Spokane, Washington to the late Robert Willard and Peggy Ost Scott. Michael was a veteran who served proudly in the United States Marine Corps, receiving a Rifle Expert Badge, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with one star, and the National Defense Service Medal. Michael worked as a drilling fluids engineer in the oil field industry after serving his country and later took over his father-in-law’s heating and air business.

Michael was a cherished husband and father. His love for his family was immense and unwavering. His family was the joy of his life. He had many roles, but the one he was most proud of was being a dad and a husband.

Michael is survived by his wife, Stacy Peterson, and their children, Cole and Cali Peterson; a brother, Jason Peterson of Dardanelle; his paternal grandmother, Janet Scott; two nieces, Abbey Peterson and Leyna Coats; three nephews, Evan and Ayden Peterson and Hayes Coats; one great-nephew, Kolton Peterson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, military brothers, and friends who became like family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Peggy Scott; his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandfather.
