Michael Truett Burnsed

Michael Burnsed, age 40, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and those who knew him best.

Michael was a man with a big heart and a love for the outdoors. He loved fishing, getting out in the mud, and never hesitated to pick up a snake if one crossed his path. He also loved music and singing at the top of his lungs. He had the best taste in music. He lived simply, loved deeply, and was most at home outside enjoying nature.

More than anything, Michael loved his children — his son, Corbin, and his daughters, Mylee and Zailey. They were the center of his world and brought him his greatest pride.

He is survived by his loving mother, Marsha Burnsed; his children, Corbin, Mylee, and Zailey Burnsed; his grandson Luke; his sister, Traci Burnsed; his brother, Stephen Burnsed (Amanda); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, along with a cousin crew and friends who will miss him dearly.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Burnsed, and his grandparents, Morris and Mary Toney.

Michael will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, and the love he had for his family. Though his time here was far too short, the memories he leaves behind will be carried in the hearts of those who loved him forever

Services will be June 12, 2026 at 4pm Providence Missionary Baptist Church

2 Timothy 4 7:8
