Melton Clark

January 4, 1932 — September 16, 2025

Melton Clark, a cherished member of his community, passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on January 4, 1932, Melton lived a life full of passion, love, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege to know him.

Melton was known for his warm spirit and enthusiasm for life. He had a love for community singing and bluegrass music, often bringing joy to gatherings with his musical talents. In addition to music, Melton greatly enjoyed riding horses and gardening, activities that allowed him to connect with the outdoors and appreciate life's simple pleasures. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his family, always creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime.

Melton was a proud member of the Vilonia Saddle Club and an active participant in Mt. Carmel Church in Vilonia, where he forged lasting bonds and shared in the joys of fellowship and community service. His contributions and spirited presence will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He proudly served in the US Army in the Korean War afterwards he worked at Dean Milk Company where he retired, he then worked for the highway department for an additional 10 years.

Melton is survived by his daughter, Darlene Conner (Merrelle) of Conway, his grandson, Jason Livingston (Kira) of Vilonia, and his great grandchild, Jaci Riley Livingston of Vilonia. He is also survived by his beloved siblings: Rheba Henry of Mt. Vernon and Jesse Clark (Clara Bryant) of Conway, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna Jean Clark, along with one sister and one brother. Melton's legacy will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched during his remarkable journey.

A visitation in honor of Melton will be held on September 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cole Funeral Home located at 777 Main St, Conway, AR 72032. A graveside service will take place at Crestlawn Memorial Park, 472 US-64, Conway, AR 72032, on September 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
