MayDean Jones

May 20, 1930 — April 11, 2026

Searcy, AR

Today we gather to honor and celebrate the life of MayDean Jones-a woman whose years were filled with devotion, quiet strength, and deep love for her family.

MayDean was born on May 20,1930, in Dripping Springs, Arkansas, to Tom and Clara Watkins Osborn. She was the youngest of seven children, growing up alongside her brothers Aubrey, Marvin, Earl, and Lowell, and her sisters Gladys and MaryLou. Being the youngest, she was surrounded by a large, loving family that helped shape the caring and resilient woman she would become.

On June 21,1947, MayDean married E.A. Jones. Together, they built a life centered on family, raising their children with care and dedication. He preceded her in death.

MayDean devoted over 20 years of service to the White County Health Department, where she worked faithfully and made a meaningful difference in her community. Yet, perhaps her greatest work was at home. As a homemaker, she poured her heart into raising her four children, creating a home filled with warmth, support, and unwavering care.

She experienced profound loss in her lifetime, including the passing of her husband and her son, Gary Jones, as well as her parents. Yet through it all, MayDean carried herself with grace and strength, always placing her family at the center of her world.

She leaves behind a legacy that lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her children: her son Micheal (Mike) and Darlene Jones of North Richland Hills, Texas; her son Roger and Terri Jones of Burleson, Texas; and her daughter Rhonda and Jerry Landis of Searcy, Arkansas.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jeff and Gina Jones, Brian Jones, Jason and Nicole Jones, Chris and Christopher Mueller, Micah and Wade Ayers, Colby and Jessica Jones, Jena and Chris Parkinson, Jordan and Michael Martin, and Drew and Keti Landis.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Garrett and Emily Jones, Madison Jones, Stirling Jones, Jude Jones, Zachry Mueller, Alyx Mueller, Jacob Ayers, Camdon Jones, Addison Jones, Matthew Jones, Edith Parkinson, Peter Parkinson, Jaxon Campbell, Cru Campbell, and Warden Martin.

And even great-great-grandchildren: Lincoln Jones, Avery Jones, Beau Jones, and Emersyn Jones.

In addition, she leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who were all touched by her kindness and gentle spirit.

MayDean's life was one of quiet faithfulness-faithfulness to her family, her work, and the values she held dear. She didn't seek recognition, but instead found purpose in caring for others, offering love freely, and living a life of humility and grace. She spent her final years in Providence Memory Care facility in Searcy, AR. We want to extend thanks from the bottom of our hearts for the individuals who cared for MayDean both at Providence and at Gentiva

Hospice. We are truly grateful for the kindness shown to her and the support through this difficult time.

In lieuof flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to support her nephews who reside in a special living facility in Searcy,Arkansas. Contributions may be sent via Cash App to $DaleRickey1, in honor of MayDean's caring spirit and love for her family.

Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered.

Today, we celebrate a life well lived, and a woman deeply loved.
