Maxine Poss

Maxine Poss age 72 of Rison, went to be with the Lord, Friday, July 2, 2010. Mrs. Poss was born July 11, 1937 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late James V. Crawford and Bonnie Mae Harris Crawford. She graduated from Kingsland High School. Mrs. Poss retired from the Cleveland County Sheriffs office where she was a Dispatcher. She was a caregiver, and a member of Assembly of God faith. Mrs. Poss was also preceded in death by one brother, James B. Crawford; one sister, Bertha Askew.

Mrs. Poss is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Poss of Rison; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe Poss Jr., and Jackie Poss of Richmond, Missouri; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie Davis and Tom Goodlock of Bauxite; nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2010, at Davis Cemetery in Grapevine with Reverend Mike Cotrell officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00p.m., Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
