Maudie Virginia Foster, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 15, 2026, in Redfield, Arkansas. Born on May 4, 1943, in Rison, Arkansas, Maudie’s life was marked by love, humor, and a deep commitment to her family, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Maudie was known for her lively spirit and infectious sense of humor; she was truly a jokester at heart, always lightening the mood with her witty remarks and cheerful disposition. Her creativity and passion shone brightly through her crafting, a beloved pastime she pursued with enthusiasm and skill. Above all, Maudie had an immense love for her grandchildren, relishing every moment spent nurturing and delighting in their lives.
She is survived by her devoted children: Frankie Hargrove of Redfield AR, Eva Price and her husband Bobby of Odessa, TX, Nomie Green Kee of Texarkana, AR, and Adam Foster of Norman, OK. Maudie’s legacy extends beautifully through her fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy to her. In addition, her godson, Dane Reed, is among those who held a special place in her heart.
Maudie’s family also remembers those dear to her who have passed before: her mother Velma Lee Hudson, her father Burnis Wooldridge, her husband Terry Lee Foster, her daughter Velma G. Robinson, her son Lenord Robinson Jr., and her siblings Marvin Wooldridge, Eugene Wooldridge, and Nomie Austin. Their memories live on in the stories and love shared within the family.
A memorial service to honor the life and legacy of Maudie Virginia Foster will be held on April 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan, Arkansas, located at 1301 S. Rock P.O. Box 276.
Maudie Virginia Foster’s warm laughter, generous heart, and creative spirit will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a rich heritage of love and family unity, an enduring testament to a life beautifully lived. May she rest in peace.
