Mary Virginia Wilson

Mary Virginia Wilson was born on June 14th, 1949 at home in Cleveland County, Arkansas to the late Elbert Clayton Hyatt and Dorothy Hyatt Raybon. Mary entered the arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 20th, 2026. Mary was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother and treasured friend. Her greatest joy came from her family as she poured her love through warm hugs, delicious meals and her wisdom. Mary was an avid Christmas fanatic that loved the Grinch and kept her Christmas trees up year round. Mary loved the Lord and Savior and was a member of Bethel No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church. Mary was a beautician, worked at Simmon’s Bank, UCA Payroll, Department of Corrections Payroll, Petite Jean Votech Payroll, First Federal Savings and Loans, NBC Bank, and retired from The Bank of Rison where she dedicated many years of service.

Mary is preceded in death not only by her parents, but also by her sister, Linda Sue Tolson and “baby” brother Roger Wayne Hyatt.  

Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years and 8 months, Don Carl Wilson; sister Brenda Kay Hamilton; sister-in-law Jeffie Hyatt; daughters Christy Wilson Eggburn (Brent), Misty Inman (Danny), Brandy Wilson; grandchildren Brittany McMahon (Cory), Bailey Raff (Tommy), Bethany Liastos (Thomas), Zachary (Bryan) Magana, Bradley Dixon, Blaine Dixon, Jewelya Morrison, Caroline Morrison, Kate Morrison, Korey (Craig) Bean and Summer (Justin) Blackwell; 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 at Bethel No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church in Rison with visitation at 1:00 PM and Celebration Of Life service to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gary Lambright. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bethel No.1 Missionary Baptist Church.
