Born November 2, 1944, in Hico, Louisiana to the late James Travis and Dorthy Ann Pixley Ferguson, she was a graduate of Hico High School, Southern Baptist College, and Ouachita Baptist University.
Sue was a devoted pastor’s wife. She served beside her husband in 7 churches over 49 years of pastoral work, as well as teaching hundreds of students in her 28 years as a teacher. Sue loved to teach her students and always encouraged them that they could achieve their dreams.

Many late nights were spent playing Rook with her other sister-in-law Melba Gibson and her husband Don Gibson. She loved being “Mama Sue” to Izzy and a multitude of her children’s friends, as well as Nana to her two grandsons Drew and Logan.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marilyn Burnham, brothers, Jim Ferguson and Joe Ferguson, her sister-in-law and traveling buddy Margie Anders, sister-in-law Melba Gibson and brother-in-law Don Gibson.
