Martah Winnie Reaves

Martha Winnie Atchley Reaves, 101, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2007 at the Robinson Nursing Home in North Little Rock. She was born May 13, 1906 in Sheridan, a daughter of the late Russell and Della Jones Atchley. Mrs. Reaves was a lifetime resident of Grant County and lived in the New Hope Community until she was confined to the nursing home in 2005. She was a charter member of the New Hope Methodist Church and held the honor of oldest member. Mrs. Reaves was a retired nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. E. "Doc" Reaves, one son, Marion Reaves; three brothers, Homer, Dewey and Clint Atchley and one sister, Alma McClung and her parents.

Mrs. Reaves is survived by one daughter, Linda Pippin, of North Little Rock; one granddaughter, Brandi Pippin of Tecate, Mexico; one sister, Zella Adams of Sheridan, seven nieces and six nephews.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2007, at the New Hope Cemetery at Sheridan. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan(870) 942-3231.
