Lisa Ann Turney

May 5, 1966 — May 2, 2025

Lisa Ann Turney, 58 of Cabot was born May 5th, 1966, and went to be with the Lord May 2, 2025. After a long and courageous battle with Cancer. She was preceded in death by her father Homer Cruise and brothers, Lonnie Cruise of El Paso and Larry Dyson of Mt. Vernon.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Joe Turney of Cabot and daughter, Amber (Brian) Williams of Cabot; stepson, Justin Turney and stepdaughter, Samantha Jo Rogers both of Cabot; grandchildren, Tristan Johnson, Brycen and Jace Williams, Jackson, Zoey, and Cooper Rogers all of Cabot; mother, Betty (Roy) Walker of El Paso and brother, Greg Cruise of Mt. Vernon.

Lisa had a kind and courageous soul. Was fiercely protective of her family and friends. From growing up with all the cousins catching lightning bugs and hunting for arrowheads. If it was outside with nature she loved it. She also enjoyed playing and coaching softball, 4H, and choir with her friends. Her sense of humor, wit, sarcasm, and addictive smile earned her multitudes of very close friends.

Through all of her travels in life she never wavered. She was uncommonly loyal to all who entrusted her. From the many co-workers she considered family to the stranger she just met. She just had that kind-hearted soul. Her love for the mountains and John Wayne could be seen by everyone that knew her. Joe and Lisa shared many adventures to Yellowstone, Cowboy Museums, and The Smokey Mountains. The only thing that would surpass her love of these things was her love for family and the Lord. Lisa had a hard 6+ year battle with cancer but her faith never once wavered. She truly was a inspiration to us all. She could win anyone over with that beautiful smile of hers but in the same hand sit anyone straight if needed. Even up until the last few hours before her fight ended she was able to talk, smile, laugh, and hug her loved ones. Lisa showed us all how to live, laugh, and love everyday even through the pain. Her departure was as graceful as her spirit. Love You Sis
