Larry D. Greenwood Sr

Larry D. Greenwood Sr., age 69 of Pine Bluff, died, Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born June 3, 1942 in Pine Bluff, a son of the late A. L. Greenwood and Cathryn Hale Greenwood. Mr. Greenwood served in the United States Army during Vietnam and the Gulf War. He was a machine operator for Mid America Packaging Company and a Presbyterian. Mr. Greenwood was also preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Greenwood.

Mr. Greenwood is survived by one son, Larry Greenwood Jr., of Pine Bluff; two daughters and son-in-law, Deborah Thornton of Davisburg, Michigan, Rachelle and Jimmie Beggs of Pine Bluff; seven grandchildren, Randy Reynolds, Justin Reynolds, Jessie Reynolds, Scott Thornton, Jeremy Greenwood, Zachary Beggs and Jimmy Beggs Jr.; two great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 5, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home with Reverend Michael D. Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow in Black Cemetery. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family will be at 9116 Anderson Road, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603. Funeral arrangements by Buie Funeral Home of Rison. (870) 325-6216.
