Kenneth Wayne Newton

Kenneth Wayne Newton, 77, of Leola passed away Saturday February 14, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Kenneth was born October 29, 1948, in Malvern, Arkansas to the late RG and Sylvia Wingard Newton. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Navy where he served for four years. After leaving the Navy, Kenneth worked for International Paper where he worked as an electrician until his retirement. Kenneth was an avid hunter and fisherman and deeply loved his dog, Buddy.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers Claude Newton (Sally), Charlie Newton (Pam), sister-in-law Lavern Newton as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents Charlie and Willie Mae Wingard; paternal grandparents Carl and Emma Newton; brothers Harold and Robert Newton; sister Ruth Newton; sister-in-law Joyce Newton; nephew Bryan McGarity; great nephew Taylor McGarity and Cody Newton.

Graveside services will be Friday February 27, 2026, at Taylor Cemetery at 10:00 am with Brother Gerald Wingard officiating under the direction of Buie and Cole Funeral Home in Sheridan.
