Kathy Wright

Kathy Lavonne Wright, 65, of Rye, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior November 6, 2022. Kathy was born September 27, 1957 in Warren, Arkansas to Daymon and Evelyn Wright. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She worked for 15 years at Wright’s Grocery followed by 20 years at Walmart.

Kathy loved her son and grandchildren so much. She spoke often of how much she missed seeing her grandchildren and prayed for them daily. She also loved her family and friends. Most importantly, she remained faithful to our Lord until she was called home. She will be missed by so many, but praise be to God we will see her again.

Kathy is survived by her son Michael Shane McGee, grandchildren Mackenzie and Kayden, brothers Dewayne (Christy), Bruce (Roxie) Wright, Carlton (Jennifer) Wright, 4 nieces, 3 nephews, and several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kathy’s name to Macedonia Baptist Church at 768 US Hwy 63, Warren, AR 71671, Warren, AR.

Visitation will be at Buie Funeral Home in Rison on Thursday, November 17, 2022 , at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
