Katharine I. Adams

Katharine Katie Adams, age 88, of Prattsville died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. She was born September 18, 1921 in Grant County, a daughter of the late Fred and Bertha Beakley Stuckey. Mrs. Adams was a retired cook and a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gus Adams; her daughter, Betty S. Carter; two brothers; three sisters.

She is survived by her son-in-law, James Carter of Prattsville; two grandchildren, James W. Carter and Kathy Hartness, both of Prattsville; three great grandchildren, Gracie Beckwith, Jon Carter, and Katie Hartness, all of Prattsville; numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan with Brother Roy Polk officiating. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan. (870) 942-3231.
