Karen Ann Long, age 61, passed away on November 3, 2026.
Karen will be remembered as someone who loved making memories and who found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She enjoyed taking pictures, camping, fishing, and going on cruises, and those interests reflected her love of time shared with the people she cared about most. Above all, her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and loving them was among the greatest joys of her life. She was also a dedicated member of New Bethel Church.
She is survived by her husband, James “Jimmy” Long, and their children, Brandi Sterling (Nick), Misty Cullum (Jason), Melanie McElyea (Caleb), Christy Tucker (Matt), and Gerald "Bubba" Golden Jr. Also, she leaves her legacy behind with her sister Marie Lowe (Eddie). The love they shared as a family will remain a lasting part of her memory, and those who knew Karen will remember the devotion she gave to her home and to the people she loved most.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Norman Stringfield, and her mother, Doris Stringfield.
Visitation will be held on November 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Cole Funeral Home, 111 Wilbur D Mills Ave, Kensett, Arkansas 72082. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Cole Funeral Home.
Karen Ann Long will be remembered with love for the memories she created, the happiness she found in time with family, and the deep affection she gave so freely to those around her.
