Jimmy Dale James

Jimmy Dale James, born on July 20, 1952, in Russell, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in Little Rock at the VA. He was a devoted family man, a respected finance officer, and a proud veteran who dedicated 16 years of service to the United States Army, including time spent in Vietnam.

Jimmy pursued his education at the University of Central Arkansas, where he earned a degree in Business & Finance and a Teaching degree. Following his academic achievements, he embarked on a successful career as a finance officer, where he was known for his integrity and exemplary work ethic. He was a longtime member of the Later Teamster, showcasing his commitment to his profession and community.

In addition to his professional life, Jimmy was an active individual with a passion for running marathons and woodworking. These hobbies brought him immense joy and were a testament to his dedication and zest for life.

He leaves behind his beloved spouse, Sandra James, along with his two children, Brian James and Erica Ruebel, who is married to Lyndon. Jimmy cherished his role as a grandfather to Zoei James, Gavin James, and Adalynn Ruebel, who brought immense joy to his life.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Cypert; father, Norman James; and siblings, CJ James, and Jerry James. Their memories remain a pivotal part of his story and legacy.

A burial service will be held on September 6, 2025, at Carter Cemetery Road in Russell, Arkansas, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate his remarkable life.

Jimmy Dale James will be remembered not only for his contributions in the fields of finance and service but also as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose spirit and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
