Jimmy Don Best of Kingsland, Arkansas left this life of 70 years and gained his wings in the early
morning hours of April 29, 2026. Jimmy Don was born on September 13, 1955, in the State
of California.
Jimmy Don was an employee of the Dallas County Road Department in Fordyce, Arkansas.
He was a former Road Grader Operator for the Cleveland County Road Department in Rison,
Arkansas. Jimmy Don was a Heavy Equipment Operator his whole life.
Jimmy Don was an avid motorcycle rider who loved to ride his Harley Davidson. He
enjoyed when he was able to ride with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Alvin Best and his mother Luna Mae Ramus and
his second mother, Margaret Ann Best. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph
Allen Best and George A. Best Jr.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeremy Don Best and Michael Shane Best, both of Pine Bluff,
Arkansas; sister Lou Abbott of Tichnor, Arkansas and two brothers, Dan Best and wife Tammy of
Kingsland, Arkansas and Ricky Best of North Little Rock, Arkansas. Jimmy Don is also
survived by many aunts and uncles and a host of nieces and nephews and a huge other family
of many, many friends.
Jimmy Don was loved by all his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Houkenberry Cemetery in Tichnor, Arkansas with Bro.

The Family of Jimmy Don Best would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the
Doctors and Nurses at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas and to a very special uncle, Wendy Best
who spent tireless days and nights with Jimmy Don.
