Janice Ruth Hobbs

Janice Ruth Turner Hobbs age 53, of Altheimer, died Friday, December 14, 2007 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. She was born June 29, 1954 in Rison a daughter of the late John Edward and Myrtis Sipes Turner. Mrs. Hobbs was a graduate of Rison High School, a homemaker and was of the Assembly of God faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother John Wayne Turner; grandparents Virgil and Ruthey Roberts Turner and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Sipes.

Mrs. Hobbs is survived her husband, Randy Hobbs of Altheimer; two sons, Brian Phillips and Chance Phillips both of Rison; two step children, Randall Hobbs of Little Rock and Miranda Hobbs of Pine Bluff; two brothers, Roger Turner of Sheridan and Bill Turner of Rison; one sister Glenda Turner of Rison; two grandchildren.

Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison with Reverend Travis George officiating. Burial will follow in the Varnell Cemetery at Rison. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2007 at Buie Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
