Jamey Lynn Sanders, 43, of Morrilton, Arkansas, bid farewell to this earthly realm on June 24, 2023. Born on December 19, 1979, in Searcy, Arkansas, Jamey brought a spark of mischief and warmth to the world.
Jamey was a true superhero, always swooping in to help those in need. He had a heart of gold and a knack for taking the underdog under his wing. When a tornado hit Little Rock, Jamey went above and beyond by not only lending a hand in the cleanup but also making sure a young lady had a hairbrush and ribbons for her hair. Talk about styling through the storm!
Known for his work ethic and skills, Jamey was an elite welder. He mastered the art of melting metal together like a true wizard. From the union cabinet worker gig in Ohio to his contributions at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock and even helping build the Morrilton airport, Jamey's talent shone brighter than a welding torch.
When it came to his family, Jamey cherished them through thick and thin. Whether it was his two incredible kids, Alex and Abby, or his furry companion, Jamey's love knew no bounds. With a smile that could light up a room and a chuckle that could chase away any blues, Jamey's joyful spirit was contagious.
Off-duty, Jamey had a blast indulging in his hobbies. From throwing darts with pinpoint accuracy to cheering on his kids at sporting events, he was the ultimate sports enthusiast. And let's not forget his over-the-phone Bible studies, relaxing walks by the lake, trampoline park adventures, and trips to Sonic with Abby being his rockstar carhop. Jamey knew how to live life to the fullest!
Jamey was preceded in his final journey by his mother, Sandra Sanders, his brother Jeremy Sanders, his brother Jesse Don Sanders, his maternal grandparents, and paternal grandmother Sue Erman. However, he leaves behind a dynamic squad of survivors, including his father Sam (Sharon) Sanders, grandfather Don Sanders of Ohio, his rockstar son, Alex Sanders of Perryville, his phenomenal daughter, Abby Sanders of Perryville, his sister Falon (Bud) Mchone of Salina, KS, his brother Joshua (Cassandra) Sanders of Paris, TX, his brother Justin (Bailey) Sanders of Paris, TX, his sister Sammie Jo Sanders of Topeka, KS, sister Jessica (Garrett) of Tehachapia, CA, along with aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends abroad.
To celebrate Jamey's life and honor his mischievous spirit, a ceremony will be held on July 15, 2023, at noon at Fredonia Cemetery in Bald Knob, AR. It's a gathering you won't want to miss, filled with heartfelt memories and a sprinkle of Jamey's signature playfulness.
Let's raise our glasses and toast to Jamey, the ultimate superhero of mischief and love. May his legacy continue to light up our lives, reminding us to always lend a helping hand and cherish the adventures life throws our way. Rest easy, Jamey, and keep shining bright like a welding torch in the night sky.
