James David Bishop

Wednesday, July 19, 2023. He was born May 17, 1937, in Ben, Arkansas to the late Paul and Mary Bishop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Roger Dale Bishop, his sister Janie Scribner and his brother Finis Bishop. Mr. Bishop was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Batesville. He enjoyed tinkering, mowing grass and eating watermelon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Willadean Bishop, his children Ronald David Bishop, Robert Dean Bishop, Richmond D. Bishop (Tresia), and Donna Sue Stidham (David), one brother, Benny Bishop and his wife Regina, grandchildren, April Bishop, Melissa McIver (Jason), Jennifer Bishop, Tyler Bishop, Brandon Bishop (Kayla), great-grandchildren Hope Marie Bishop, Landon, Avery and Savannah and one great-grandchild Lily Jo.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Batesville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
