HOMER JOSEPH WILSON August 12, 1945 – August 11, 2026 Homer passed away at home in Rowell, Arkansas. Homer was the son of Elmer Joseph & Essie Mae (Browning) Wilson. Homer attended Watson Chapel High School. Homer served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict era, in Aschaffenburg Germany 1963-1966. He worked for the Pine Bluff Police Traffic Division 1967-1971. He moved to Dallas, Texas in 1971 to become a Greyhound Bus Driver until taking early retirement to move back to Arkansas. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Elmer & Essie Mae, his sister Catherine, his wife of 58 years, Glenda K (Stover) Wilson, and his grandson, Joshua E Beyer. Homer is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Doug) Beyer of Iowa and Tammy Wilson of Louisiana, grandson Brandon (Kasey) Bunting of White Hall, and his best friend and loyal dog, Brandy. Homer is especially thankful to his neighbors, who were so helpful and kind to him after the loss of his wife and throughout his sickness: Lance & Melissa Jacks, Brandon Spakes, and Diana Cole.Homer wanted to give special thanks to his nurses Frances and LeeAnn of Arkansas Hospice for their support, compassion, and kindness. Homer has requested no services or flowers. In lieu of flowers, Homer has requested any donations to go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Epilepsy Foundation.
