Hershel Ray Akers, Jr., age 56 of Pangburn, passed away August 29, 2022. He was born April 26, 1966 to Hershel Ray Sr. and Gloria Fisher Akers. Hershel was a forklift operator for Turkey Hill. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Melinda Arnold.
Hershel is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Melissia Akers, and stepchildren, Dustin Powell (Taylor) and Michael Powell.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2022, at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Sullivan Funeral Care, with burial to follow in Philadelphia Cemetery.
