Helen Floyd Roberts

Helen Floyd Roberts, age 89 of Rowell, died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at her home. She was born November 18, 1921 in Palmyra, a daughter of the late Henry and Ora Henderson Floyd. Mrs. Roberts married Jessie Lee Roberts on October 6, 1939 in Rowell. She was a homemaker and member of Center Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Roberts was also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Lee Roberts, daughter, Freida Woodell; son-in-law, Bill Kilpatrick; four brothers, Carl Floyd, Ray Floyd, Robert Floyd and Carroll Floyd; two sisters, Mary Moore and Flora Roth.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by one son, Kenneth Roberts of Rowell; two daughters, Carolyn Cooley and Wanda Kilpatrick , both of Randall; one brother, Homer Floyd of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Dorris Clement of Monticello and Iris Rushing of Conway; eight grandchildren, six step grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Center Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Doney Blackerby officiating. Burial will follow in Rowell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Memorials may be made to the donors charity of choice.
