Helen Dolorese Jones

Helen Dolorese Jones, age 87 of Woodlawn, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 4, 2012. She was born June 19, 1925, in Fountain Hill, a daughter of the late Gus Pierce and Minnie Belle White Pierce. Mrs. Jones enjoyed sewing, quilting, being a loving mother and spending time with her family. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Carl Jones; two sons, John Ronald Jones, Gus Donald Jones; eight brothers and sisters. Mrs. Jones is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Jeanette Jones of Fountain Hill, Julian and Linda Jones of Woodlawn; one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Manuel Marin of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren, Gary White Jr., Staci Ward, Kristi Blankenship and Justin Carl Jones; four great grandchildren. Graveside services are 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Flat Creek Cemetery near Fountain Hill with Reverend Garry Wiles officiating. Visitation is Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Arrangements are by the Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
