Griffithville

Gerald Lynn Williams, known by many as “Tooter,” 71, of Pangburn Arkansas passed away on May 3, 2026. Leaving behind extra amounts of laughter, kindness, and unforgettable stories. Born on September 10, 1954, to late Dorothy (Morris) Williams and Oscar “Pete” Williams. Gerald was a lifelong mechanic, known for his ability to fix just about anything. He spent many years working for his dear friend Steve Barger, a friendship that carried them to the very end. His skills extended beyond the garage—Gerald could often be seen riding his lawn mower around town, mowing lawns for neighbors and friends, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Life wasn’t always easy for him, and he didn’t always make the best choices. But he could make you laugh like no one else, telling countless stories that left you with aching ribs and sore cheeks from laughing. He had a heart for others, and if you needed help, he’d be there if he could.

Gerald had a love of collecting, especially Hot Wheels cars. He and his son Dustin spent countless hours searching for special editions, rare cars, and building impressive collections still in packaging. He even bought a second car each time, starting a second collection that he later gifted to his first grandson, Zach. His joy in collecting was matched only by his joy in giving.

Preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ray Williams, his sister Kay Duncan. Gerald is survived by his daughter Brandi (Matt) Keller, his son Dustin (Brooke) Espersen, his brother James (Shelia) Williams, and his sister Glenda (Dave) Schlabach, 7 grandchildren Zachary (Alysha) Kitchen, Faith Kitchen, Hope Moulthrop, Logan Moulthrop, Gabriel Espersen, Marianne Espersen, and Jax Espersen, and 1 Great Grandchild Lennox Kitchen.

He will be remembered for his humor, his helpfulness, and the love he shared with family and friends. His stories and laughter will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A celebration of Gerald’s life will be held at Henderson Cemetery on Sunday, May 17, 2026 @ 2 pm. In honor of Gerald’s love for collecting pop can tabs, guests are encouraged to bring tabs to the celebration. These will be donated to The Springs of Searcy, where he spent nearly a year, and they are collecting for St Jude. Thank you to all the staff that helped in his care, including Arkansas Hospice for the amazing care he was given till the very end.
