Gena Denise Choate left this earthly home on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born March 19, 1955 to Glenda Fry Chapman and Robert (Bubbles) Choate, Jr. in Searcy, Arkansas. Denise had a love for life, family and those she considered family. She demonstrated her love by cooking or bringing meals, making sure everyone was fed. She also had great love for her dog, Baby Girl. For the past 10 years Denise has resided in Searcy with her mother Glenda. She attended Searcy Church of the Nazarene, where she fellowshipped with extended family and friends.

Denise was preceded in death by her grandparents Collie and Avenell Fry, Robert and Camella Choate; father, Bubble Choate, step-father Van Chapman; her nephew, James David Ahillen and niece, Danielle Choate Stafford.

She is survived by her mother, Glenda Fry Chapman, her siblings, Deborah Ahillen (Jim), Diane Choate and Dennis Choate (Phyllis), several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Searcy Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
