Gary Benjamin Ellis, age 64, of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by loved ones, with his wife by his side, on January 31, 2025. Born March 30, 1961, in Oxnard, California, Ben spent his formative years in Idaho before relocating to California at age 14, where he built a life rich with family, dedication, and hard work. He later settled in Beebe, Arkansas.

Ben never met a stranger. He carried a light within him that drew people close and made friends for life. His presence was bold and infectious, vibrant, vivacious, and endlessly generous. He was the kind of man who made everyone feel seen, heard, and cherished, and his laughter could brighten the darkest room.

A devoted husband, Ben cherished his wife, Lisa, and walked beside her through life with unwavering loyalty and affection. He found joy in the simple moments shared together, from quiet mornings to the warmth of a shared smile after a long day.

Friends often recall his magnetic warmth: a storyteller with a twinkle in his eye, a steady hand, and a heart that believed in the goodness of people. He drew people to him with a warmth that welcomed all, and he leaves behind a circle of lifelong friends who carry the imprint of his kindness wherever they go.

An avid outdoorsman, Ben loved hunting, collecting guns, riding motorcycles, and exploring the world beyond four walls. He found exhilaration in the thrill of a hunt, the quiet focus of a target, and the freedom of the open road. He believed in living life fully and deeply, every single day.

Professionally, Ben spent 33 years as a truck driver for Pepsi-Cola, delivering with reliability, care, and a steady presence that earned him the trust of colleagues and customers alike. His work ethic was a quiet testament to his character—a commitment to family, integrity, and service.

Ben was preceded in death by his son, Cody Benjamin James Ellis; his father, Gary Clinton Ellis; and his mother, Bonnie Sue Kepner. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Ellis, of Beebe, Arkansas; his two stepchildren, Jaclyn Thomas and Justen Gentry; and a host of friends and extended family who will miss him dearly.

In this sadness, we choose to celebrate the extraordinary man he was: the warmth he shared, the joy he inspired, and the love that will endure in the memories of all who knew him. While we will not gather for a formal service, we invite you to honor Ben’s memory in your own way—through acts of kindness, moments of laughter, and the outdoors you loved so dearly. A GoFundMe has been established to help with medical costs and final expenses.
