Eugene Moore

Ferrel Eugene Moore, 88, of Vilonia, Arkansas, passed away at home January 14, 2026 at 10:15 a.m. Friends and family knew him as Gene or Papaw. Born September 20, 1937 in Mayflower, Arkansas. He was the son of Frankie L. Moore, and Thelma Lucille (Metzger) Moore.

He was a Christian and a Journeyman plumber with Local Union 155 for forty years, a coin hobbyist, and an avid genealogy slouth. Eugene loved his family very much.

He is survived by his children Jeannie (Sam) Grissom, Peggy (Dickie) Harris, Angela (Carl) Gan, Gregory (Chrissy) Moore, and Bryan ( Rena) Moore. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grands, great great-grands and his brothers Kenneth, Jimmy, Jerry, and Robert. Sisters Linda, Velma, Marilyn, Lydia, and Cheryl, Spouses as well as many nieces and nephews. Waiting for him in Heaven are his parents and two brothers Frankie JR and Ralph.

A celebration of Eugene's life will be held this spring in Missouri.
