Edward (Ski) Joseph Gawronski, a man of immense heart and unwavering dedication to those he loved, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, in Searcy, Arkansas. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ed lived a life marked by kindness, service, and a passion for life’s simple joys.

A proud United States Army veteran, Ed carried his sense of duty and service far beyond his military years, always stepping up to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether it was fixing something broken or offering wise advice, he was a reliable presence in the lives of many.

Ed found his greatest pleasures in the stillness of a quiet lake with a fishing rod in hand, and the thrill of a poker game at the casino. He was a man who appreciated life’s moments—big and small—with joy and humor.

He was a beloved husband to Cheryl (Fleck) Gawronski, and a devoted father to Carrie Herrera (Benjamin Herrera) and Catt Pryde (Scott Pryde). Ed’s legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren: David Brandenburg (Breanna Reid), Kyle Brandenburg (Rebecca Snider), Cheyenne Herrera (Pajsoua Lo), and Grace Pryde; and his adored great-grandchildren: Bellatrix Brandenburg and Lincoln Brandenburg. Also survived by other relatives and friends. 

To know Ed was to love him. His big heart, generous spirit, and knack for fixing just about anything made him a pillar of strength and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
