Dorothy Jane Neely, age 71, of Rison, died Wednesday, March 29, 2023. She was born October 15, 1951 in DeWitt, a daughter of the late Willard Albert Cooper and Velma Wade Pullen Cooper. Mrs. Neely loved farming and quilting. She was a member of Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Sonny” Lee Neely; sister, Cathy Lavonne Ruel.
Mrs. Neely is survived by her son, Shane Neely; sister, Brenda Ashcraft (Hurley) and brother, Danny Cooper.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Prosperity Cemetery.
