Donald Hunter, 93, of Benton passed away Wednesday September 17 20225 at his home. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Warren Edford and Vera Henderson Hunter; Donald was Master Electrician for I.B.E.W. Donalds passion was cars. He enjoyed restoring old cars, mainly convertibles. He and his late wife Odessa could be found at any number of car shows and especially on Petit Jean Mountain at a car show. His other hobbies were flying as he was a private pilot, deer hunting, and attending his church, Palestine Missionary Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Rickey Hunter and Shelia Taylor, both of Sheridan; brother Gray (Butch) Hunter of Sheridan; sister Derlene Olson of Charleston Indiana; grandson Anthony Hedden of Sheridan; great-grandson Davin Gage Hedden of Benton.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Odessa Atchley Hunter; brothers Kenneth Hunter, James (Bo) Hunter, an infant brother that died at birth and sister Delce Rowe.
Visitation will be Saturday September 20, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm at Buie & Cole Funeral Home in Sheridan.
There will be a Celebration of Life scheduled for a later date
