Dicy May Keesee Smith

Dicy May Keesee Smith, age 97, formerly of Prattsville passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, Tennessee. She was born December 10, 1911 in Prattsville, Arkansas, a daughter of the late James Polk and Winnie Viola Styres Keesee. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Boyd Smith; daughter, Willie Jane Smith; two sisters, Maggie Williams and Stella Purtle.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, James and Shirley Smith of North Little Rock; her daughter, Betty Mayers of Normandy Tennessee; brother in law, Jim Williams of Prattsville; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Sheridan with Brother Neal Pumphrey officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville.
