David Wayne "Bud" Phillips

David Wayne "Bud" Phillips, 78, of Rison died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 1, 2018.  Mr. Phillips was born February 17, 1940 in Toledo, Arkansas to the late Leon and Alma Varnell Phillips.  He was a member of Toledo Hunting Club.  Bud loved spending time with his family and always had his little dog, Woody by his side.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Phillips and sister, Linda Phillips.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Phillips of Watson Chapel; sisters, Margaret (J.T.) Rodgers of Rison, Betty (Donald) Robinson of Warren, Martha (Jimmie) Lockhart of Rison, Janice (David) Doss of Rison, Judy Phillips of Rison; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews whom all loved him.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Brother Ronald Young officiating.  Interment will follow in Varnell Cemetery in Rison.  Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the funeral home.  Pallbearers are Randy Phillips, Wayne Robinson, John David Rodgers, Greg Phillips, Tony Doss, Tom Rodgers, Ken Phillips, Mike Phillips, and Jeff Phillips.
