David Wayne Lassiter

David Wayne Lassiter, also known to most as “Moonpie”, age 69 of Leola went to be with his Lord on June 15, 2026. He was born January 27, 1957, in Benton, Arkansas to the late William and Ruth Ellen Lassiter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Ray Wallace. Mr. Lassiter was known for his hard work as a log truck driver and enjoyed working with his brothers in trucking. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a faithful member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Rose Mary Lassiter, his daughters, Kerri Warren and her husband Bradley, Kimberly Chambers and her husband Jr., his loving granddaughters, Harley and Tucker Warren, his sister Brenda Hillman, his best friend Chuck Fowler, numerous nieces and nephews and his loyal dog Lilly.
