David Kenneth Lancaster

David K. Lancaster, 79, of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 10 while holding the hand of his youngest daughter, Cassandra Lancaster. He was born in Clovis, New Mexico, to the late William “Bill” Lancaster and Faye Jones Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Hinds.

David proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969. He later dedicated 37 years to Union Pacific Railroad, retiring as Manager of Train Operations. Known for his strong work ethic, he missed only two days of work due to illness during his entire career.

He is survived by his six children: Michael Lancaster, Kristi Lancaster, David W. Lancaster, Justin Lambert, Lacy Rygiol, and Cassandra Lancaster. He was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A hardworking and devoted father and grandfather, David believed deeply in providing for his family. He will be missed beyond measure.
