Cathy Phillips

Cathy Phillips age 53 of Rison, died, Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born September 5, 1956 in Pine Bluff, a daughter of the late James Paul Briney Sr. and Bobbie Ellison Briney of Rison. Mrs. Phillips was an LPN, having worked for the Cleveland County Nursing Home and a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Paul Briney Jr.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her husband, Jim Phillips; mother, Bobbie Ellison Briney; two sons and daughter-in-law, Tony Rapada, Jamie and Rachel Phillips; two daughters and son-in-law, Haley Phillips, Tracy and Dusty Hebert; two grandsons, Preston Hebert and Colton Hebert, all of Rison; nephew, Darrell Briney of Houston, Texas; niece, Carmen Moore of Shepherd, Texas; three great nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2009 at Buie Chapel with Brother Tom Hart officiating. Burial will follow in the Harlow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
