Carroll "Joe" Houston Mcgarrah

Carroll “Joe” Houston McGarrah of Sheridan was born July 14, 1946 to the late Fred & Mattie Mae (Winston) McGarrah.

Joe passed away November 26th, 2019 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 73. In his early years, Joe was a mechanic and loved working on cars.  He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, gardening, riding in horse shows, playing his guitar, singing Elvis songs and riding his four-wheeler. He never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with anyone. Everyone that knew him loved him.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Bonita Mae McGarrah; and a nephew, Greg Hicks. He is survived by his brother Danny McGarrah (Ann Carter) of Sheridan; his brother Michael McGarrah (Kathy) of Mena; six nephews; five nieces; a host of great nieces and nephews; as well as his family of nurses that loved him and took care of him during his years at SNRC.

Visitation will be Friday, November 29, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Buie Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.  Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan.
