Brenda Fay Smith

Brenda Smith, a beloved community member and devoted family woman, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, in Searcy, Arkansas. Born on June 18, 1968, in Searcy, Arkansas, Brenda lived a life marked by dedication to both her work and her faith.

As a school janitor, Brenda was known for her unwavering commitment to ensuring that her workplace was clean and welcoming for students and staff alike. Her diligent efforts contributed to a positive and nurturing environment, embodying her belief in the importance of education and community.

Brenda's passions extended far beyond her professional life. She found joy in crafting, gardening, and sharing her musical talents as a singer and piano player. Cooking was another cherished pastime, through which she expressed her love for family and friends. Brenda's culinary creations brought people together, filling their hearts and homes with warmth and joy.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Chuck Smith, and her cherished daughter, Sarah. She was a beloved daughter to Terry and Anneita Harris, and a devoted sister to Terry Wayne Harris and his spouse, Shelly; Shane Harris and his spouse, Ava; and Vicki Cleaver and her spouse, Doyle. Brenda also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will carry her memory forward.

Her strong faith in the Lord guided her through life's many challenges and was a cornerstone of her character. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, patience, and compassion. Brenda Smith will be profoundly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and the community she served.
