Bobbie Sue (Sturdivant) Cockrell

Bobbie Sue Sturdivant Cockrell, age 85, of the Randall Community passed away on December 30, 2022. She was born April 24, 1937 in Kilbourne, Louisiana to the late Claude and Thelma Sturdivant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Cockrell, her sons, Scott Cockrell and Ricky Cockrell, and her grandson, Wesley Cockrell. She was a retired rural mail carrier and enjoyed cooking, reading and going to barrel races with her daughter. She was also a faithful member of Center Missionary Baptist Church, and active in the Senior Ladies Auxiliary and the ladies exercise group in Calmer.

She is survived by her daughter Roxanne Bradshaw and her husband Joe, her daughter-in-law Debbie Cockrell, her little dog Patty, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and her close friends that she considered family, Robbin Curry, Lisa Kilcrease, Donna Kay and Julian Jones and many more.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Center Missionary Baptist Church Ladies Auxiliary.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with Bro. Doney Blackerby officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
